The
Healing Power Of Love
Our Being is a system of energies, and we always reach towards others by means
of energy radiation and energy sendings. These energy radiation and
sendings can be of various kinds, but the link and medium through which they
must flow is always our magnetic energy, our Love
energy - the energy of communion.
In our relationships with all beings we seldom consider that we are always
interacting with energies and that these interactions determine the quality
and the depth of any relationship. How can we know the kind of energy used in
a
relationship? "Know thyself" is the answer of the Wisdom Teachings.
The Essence of our Being is an inexhaustible fountain of Life energy and Love
energy. These two energies flowing through us not only sustain, nourish and
vitalize our human form, but also seek to shine through it and radiate to all
beings and all things around us.
This natural tendency to radiate energies describes the central characteristic
of our Being and of our incarnate existence - the whole structure of our form
and all our inner and psychological faculties are so designed that each one of
us can be like "the Sun that draws near and vivifies the Earth and all its
creatures, yet naught can the Sun take from out the Earth".
Both our Life energy and Love energy are focused in and distributed from the
heart energy center (or heart chakra). This is not a capricious happening. It
is the result of our divine planned intention to come into incarnation and be
a
radiant center of Love and Life.
Every time that we choose to love, a stream of Love energy is generated in our
heart energy center and radiated towards the loved one, towards the one we
relate with. Simultaneously, another stream of Love energy, fourfold in
potency, is generated in the core of our Soul; this second stream completely
bathes our being reinforcing its integrity, magnetism and harmony.
The stream of energy generated in the Soul always flows in a direct proportion
to the energy that we generate with our heart. The result is that the more we
love, the more energized, healthy and harmonious our being becomes.
But the Life energy is not absent when we choose to love. The Life energy
ceaselessly pours forth from the core of the Soul and from the heart center.
However, its major characteristic is that it always follows the most magnetic,
harmonious and balanced path, and the path created by Love is just that. It is
for this reason that both energies share the same focusing and distributing
point in the center of our Soul and in our heart energy center.
The loved ones also obtain great benefits from our energies. The Love energy
that we generate when we choose to love not only creates a link for communion
between the parties involved in the relation but also forms a reservoir of
Love vibrations around the loved ones. This reservoir of Love energy serves to
alleviate challenges in their lives and facilitates their individual growth
because it is the nature of Love to always create harmony and balance among
diverse energies.
The Life energy of our being likewise reaches the loved ones. Its touch
strengthens their vital energy field increasing their vitality and inducing a
real sense of well-being - this Life energy carried on the waves of Love is
the main energy for us to use when practicing the art and science of Healing.
This view of human relationships in terms of energy interactions does not
deprive us of the beauty and joy that they can bring. On the contrary, it
raises us to more exalted levels because it shows that our relationships of
all kinds are creative acts with the power to permanently affect our being,
others and the Universe itself.
It is important to recognize that to a certain extent we all exercise our
capacity to love in the daily life; in other words, to a certain extent in our
daily life we all generate Love energy. Without this we would be unable to
relate to others at all; we would not even be able to have the most simple
dealings and affairs that our everyday life functioning requires.
However, it is in the way we relate to others where we find the main reason
for our human form to be prone to disease, to age and eventually die; as well
as, the main reason for social decay and crime. This main reason is that we do
not
love enough.
What happens to most of us is that we are seldom fully open and sincere in our
dealings with others, and we usually withhold a great part of the energy in us
that, by the Law of our Being, should be radiated and shared. The explanation
for this is very simple: Many of our thoughts are self-centered - this arrests
the radiation of the Life
energy through us. Most of our feelings are reserved and, again, centered upon
us - this arrests the flow of the Love energy through us. And most of our
words and actions are aimed to support our self-centered thoughts and
feelings.
An ancient story tells that in us, human beings, there is an ages-old
unconscious belief. The belief that if we share too much of what we are and
have, we will suffer lack and want. It is said that this unconscious tendency
(also many times a conscious tendency) was born of our forgetfulness . . . we
forgot that we are an inexhaustible fountain of Life and Love!
The story also tells that when we will remember this, the whole Universe will
sing in joy at " the dawn of the Suns of Love and Life".
Perhaps this ancient story is more than just a story. We unfold our potential
and expand in beauty, joy and perfection by freely and wisely sharing our
being with others. In this conscious sharing there is a tremendous healing
power for all. Also in this conscious sharing lies the foundation for true
community life. Otherwise, the depletion of the energies in our form and in
our communities takes place when we live and act in forgetfulness of our
Essence.
To love is really a very practical and beneficial choice for everybody. On one
hand, if in our relations and dealings with others we choose to establish the
smallest possible link and to withhold our naturally outgoing energies, our
being will starve in energy and, therefore, weaken, decay and age. On the
other hand, if we choose to establish fully open, unconditional links with
others and to wisely share without expecting anything in return, our being and
world will experience health, harmony and abundance.
Love is neither a moral, nor a sentimental thing.
Love is a very practical choice. Love is an energy-generating power. Love is
truly the carrier of Life energy.
Love is to accept and share the Bounty of the Universe - a Bounty of which we
are an essential part.
Love is the primary means that we human beings have for health, progress and
perfection.
